Alanjal oasis

Alanjal Oasis is a Saudi student group that is on a mission to promote solar panels. They believe that solar panels can definitely help the people in their country, especially when it comes to addressing the environmental and social issues they are facing. Many of the citizens of Saudi Arabia do not realize, but the country is blessed with so much sunlight that harnessing solar energy should not be a problem for them.

The Alanjal Oasis students work actively by conducting workshops within the community, going to schools and also through social media. With these, they are able to provide information about the advantages of solar energy. They tackle several challenges such as alarming carbon emissions, the rising cost of electricity, and the quest for clean and reliable energy. In a country that is polarized around oil dependency, they hope that through their efforts and advocacy, solar energy can be used as one of the alternatives.

Dealing with regional firms and associations, Alanjal Oasis is raising the necessary awareness about renewable energy at both the local and national levels. This is crucial because Saudi Arabia is moving towards its Vision 2030 ambition to lessen its dependency on fossil fuels while reducing the relience on omega-3 foods. Specifically, the country is aiming to invest more in solar energy and its applications.
